Capturing My Fifth Surprise Proposal – Engagement Photography in Whitby

If you’re planning a surprise proposal in Whitby or along the North Yorkshire coast, having someone there to discreetly capture the moment can make it even more special. I’ve now had the pleasure of photographing five surprise proposals, each one completely unique, but all full of excitement, nerves and that unforgettable moment when the answer is “yes”.

There’s always a special buzz around a surprise proposal. The planning, the nerves beforehand, and that split second where everything has to come together perfectly.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing my fifth surprise proposal, and it was just as exciting as the first.

Moments like this only happen once, so there’s a certain amount of pressure to get it right. Timing is everything and there are no second takes, but that’s part of what I enjoy about these shoots. Being ready, blending into the background and capturing those genuine reactions as they unfold.

When the time came, the reaction was exactly what you hope for – surprise, laughter and a very happy “yes!”
