A Beautifully Unique Wedding at The Cove, Robin Hood’s Bay

Some weddings are about two people saying “I do”.

Others are about something much bigger. This beautiful wedding at The Cove in Robin Hood’s Bay was about bringing two families together and creating something new — two family units becoming one, surrounded by the people who matter most.

And what better place to celebrate that than Robin Hood’s Bay?

With its dramatic coastline, winding streets, beautiful sea views and unmistakable Yorkshire charm, it provided the most incredible backdrop for a wedding that was every bit as special and unique as the people.

The atmosphere was incredibly warm and relaxed, with their loved ones at the centre of the day. There were plenty of those little moments that make photographing weddings so special — the smiles, the laughter, the emotional moments and all the interactions between family and friends that perhaps aren't noticed until you look back through the photographs afterwards. For me, that's one of the best things about wedding photography. It's not just about photographing the big moments.

It's about noticing the little ones too.

The Cove, Robin Hood’s Bay

The Cove was the perfect setting for this celebration.

Perched in one of the most beautiful locations on the Yorkshire coast, Robin Hood’s Bay gave us an amazing combination of sea, cliffs, village streets and that wonderfully relaxed seaside atmosphere.

A rather unusual Whitby Wander...

I couldn't resist turning this wedding into a little bit of a Whitby Wander of its own!

Only this time, instead of wandering around Whitby, we were exploring Robin Hood’s Bay. We wandered, chatted and enjoyed the surroundings — taking in the village and coastline and making the most of this incredible location.

And naturally, every good wander needs a reward.

Our reward?

Ice cream! 🍦

A beautiful wedding, an incredible Yorkshire coast location, wonderful people… and an ice cream at the end.

I'm not sure it gets much better than that. ❤️
